An Unforgettable Day of Learning with Teach Rex

The Grange Primary School pupils stepped into the prehistoric world as special guests Teach Rex brought dinosaurs into the heart of the school.

The immersive creative experience, featuring life-like creatures and interactive storytelling, captivated young imaginations and brought lessons roaring to life. From gasps of awe in the assembly hall as T-Rex ‘Jam’ emerged to animated classroom visits with baby dinosaurs and green screen video productions, the excitement was contagious.

Deputy Headteacher Mr Evans said, “We’re proud to be part of Lydiate Learning Trust and share their vision to engage, enable and empower. Teach Rex enhances our teaching, turning lessons into immersive experiences that captivate our students.”

Children were buzzing with inspiration: “Meeting a dinosaur at school was the coolest thing ever!” said one pupil. Another added, “Now I want to learn everything about them!”

The initiative ties directly into the school’s creative curriculum, with teachers praising the programme for boosting engagement and deepening understanding. Miss Wright, Year 6 teacher, said: “This programme integrates perfectly with our curriculum and sparks a love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.”

Katey Breen, Inclusion and Safeguarding Lead at Lydiate Learning Trust added, “This is a brilliant example of how we can work together with The Grange Primary School team to create memorable, high-impact experiences that inspire and excite pupils.”

The Teach Rex Dinosaur Experience was a success, demonstrating how creative, immersive learning can spark genuine curiosity and excitement in education.
